This blog is being written to help me process and understand the changes that are occurring during early recovery. It will follow a story format where a fictitious character, with substance abuse issues, faces the decision to either clean up or to continue his destructive behavior. He embarks on a journey into clean territory but an alternative future, of using, runs along in parallel which aims to show the contrasts and the results of his decision.
None of the occurrences are based on real events or people, even if they may bear some similarities!

Hi Abbie, It’s just the way it worked out. I wanted to start writing a longer story but didn’t want to wait till I was finished to get it out there. This way allowed for bite sized chunks that, in total, made up more than the sum the pieces!
Love your approach to sobriety too!
